In the aftermath of a world-wide system glitch which trapped thousands of online VR gamers inside of a fantasy world, which means death in the game is now real, follow a young teen called "Drevin Casidy" as he reminisces over the loss of one of his best friends during a dungeon raid boss encounter. Drevin is a unique class which before the catastrophe was seemingly useless, a Demolitionist which are meant to clear away terrain and aren't even meant for combat.

However, when the world changed he found out by pure chance that his class could actually be useful against monsters. Once celebrated amongst players as a hero, Drevin now bears the weight of failure upon his shoulders. Estranged from the community and even seen as a villain, he finds solitude in a sexy barmaid “Isabella”, a self-aware NPC and Annelise, a steadfast female Paladin who has become convinced what happened was an accident. However with no desire to rejoin the fight, will Drevin find a path towards redemption?
