(From insert) From 2003 to 2013, Brookdale Community College employed a multi-level approach to its assessment of the learning outcomes in its degree programs. The assessment technique use was the Nicolas Method. Data about how students achieved Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) was collected and analyzed once a year. Departments revised their programs and reported the result in subsequent years. In the process, departments tracked their progress making program-level changes in Program Assessment Flow Sheets or PAFS. Data about how students achieved Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) was also tracked using Course Assessment Flow Sheets or CAFS.
