This report describes the geology, mineral deposits and exploration history of the northern Long Lake area, which includes Houck, Oakes, Croll and Abrey townships; the northern half of Coltham Township; the McBean Lake area, and Long Lake Indian Reserves No. 58 and Ginoogaming First Nation. The area is situated immediately east of the Geraldton gold camp and hosts several gold occurrences, which are being re-evaluated by various companies. The report describes the general geology of the area, then details regional sedimentology, structural geology, metamorphism, the correlation between geology and aeromagnetic data, geochronology, and economic geology, including descriptions of specific and already established properties.
