James Stewart: 21st Century Warrior Poet
註釋And if a change is what you desire or need to do, to approach tasks and challenges of extreme difficulty where failure is certain to grip you and one's will is not enough to just continue to shake it off... then at those moments, they are there.. like brightened understanding willing to lend you a hand, pick you up, carry, if need be, or stand beside you in the darkness. To walk beside you, until you both reach the light. Such a generous and caring act that is duly noted as always appreciated which, in turn, is also then (always to the best of one's ability) reciprocated.****A few days ago post-swim I was sitting in the LifeCafe. While I was gathering my thoughts from the swim I just took part in.... I was overcome by the strong feeling of empathy. I am an empathetic person by nature but this is different. I have experienced it many times before and it does not last very long but it definitely leads to, or, is the pre-cursor to 20-30 minutes of contemplative thinking. Including (for example) a reminder to be grateful, appreciative and to keep striving to give my best. Even thinking the best about other people. So happy to see people in relationships, with their families having fun, smiling, laughing and enjoying silly times. As another example separate from talents or abilities... the purest understanding and realization of love is unfathomable for the human mind to comprehend. What we can do is learn how we are best able to receive love from God and then figure out our purpose to share it with continual caring, and admirable giving. It might be respect for others, compassion, empathy, sympathy, affection, sacrifice, and generosity... or all the above. Love your neighbor as yourself. Treat others as you yourself want to be treated.
