Letter from Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles Addressed to an Unknown Person, with Salutation "My Dear Sir"
註釋This letter written by Raffles, is about the settlement of the estate of his brother-in-law Quinton Dick Thompson. In this letter Raffles reports the untimely death of his brother-in-law " ... our melancholy loss in the untimely death of poor Thompson". He discusses on forwarding a copy of his brother-in-law's Marriage Settlement on his sister. In the post script of his letter, Raffles explains how he has dealt with Thompson's property "No part of the settlement had been provided for at the time of his decease & consequently the little property left "
