註釋
Manuscript clinical case notebook kept by Dr. James Gregory (1753-1821) of Edinburgh, December 1785 through January 1787. Signed by Gregory at the end of the manuscript ("Dr. Gregory, Edinburgh, 1785/6"); signature appears to match "Letter from James Gregory, Scottish professor of medicine at Edinburgh, 9th August 1790" (Waller Ms gb-00761, Uppsala University Library: http://www.ub.uu.se/finding-your-way-in-the-collections/selections-of-special-items-and-collections/waller-collections/waller-manuscript-collection/wallers-treasures/james-gregory/ ; accessed 4 September 2017). Approximately 125 cases on surviving pages 9 through [303], both men an women, indicating patient's name, age, occupation and/or marital status, chief complaints, diagnosis, care, and case resolution (such as "Goes out relieved" or "Died"). Gregory performed and reports pathology from some postmortem examinations, which he labels "Dissection". On upper paste-down, a motto: "Vix ea nostra vocamus. Horace" [I scarcely call these things my own"]
