The Other Side of Welfare
註釋Pam Cave's husband abandoned her and their five children leaving her struggling to put food on the table and to provide for her children. As a welfare mother with no resources and five young children, she appeared in court over 50 times in an effort to secure child support from her husband. Her frustration with the legal system led her to the reality that the law is not accessible to single parents abandoned by their spouses. Pam took her frustration and went to law school. Against all odds, she obtained her law degree and passed the bar. She is currently an attorney with a state legal services office. The Other Side of Welfare tells Pam's and other families' stories who have struggled through the welfare system, receiving very little help. But it's positive perspective serves as inspiration for others who feel like they have no where to turn.
