Documenting trends in demedicalization, managed care, who practices psychotherapy, and the effects of those changes on the patient, therapist, and education system, this report proposes solutions for dealing with the multitude of problems that will face the future psychotherapist. In addition, the report examines the impact of changing socioeconomic realities on the future practice of psychotherapy.
