註釋A collection of three Holocaust memoirs. In Kádár's account (p. 5-42), pp. 35-42 relate to the period 1938-45. He focuses on the fate of his parents who were deported and perished, and his brother who perished in labor service. Terner (p. 45-113) lived in Vámospércs. In 1944, at age 15, she was interned for 25 days in the Téglás ghetto, and was then transferred to the Debrecen bricks factory. She was then deported to Auschwitz and Ravensbrück, and worked in the Altenburg arms-factory. She was liberated in the area. Fodor-Wieg (p. 115-170) survived the Holocaust, at age seven, in hiding with her mother in Budapest. Her father was deported and perished. Pp. 171-192 contain an epilogue by Kőbányai.
