I grew up in a village where the residents deeply care about the legends and beliefs of the area, but not only that. One of these beliefs is that burning incense drives away evil spirits and curses that may befall your home. However, it also angers them, and if you step out from under the roof of your house—the boundary of holy protection—you'll be abducted by these spirits and taken to who knows what forsaken place, where they will mock you and your body, either until you surrender or until the sun rises.

This story is inspired by this popular belief.
