The Return of Fu-Manchu
註釋Dr. Fu Manchu lives! He has managed to survive the fire in the cottage and has returned to further the plans of his secret society. Dr. Petrie and Nayland Smith must again fight this nefarious villain before he succeeds. This time, he's after Reverend Eltham in order to obtain the name of a secret agent in China. But lo! He does not do these things himself. He summons deadly and magical creatures to do his bidding. Dr. Petrie and Nayland Smith must, once again, track down Dr. Fu Manchu before their lives are extinguished by his henchmen! Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, better known as Sax Rohmer, was a prolific English novelist best remembered for his series of novels featuring the master criminal Dr. Fu Manchu. He worked as a poet, songwriter and comedy sketch writer for Music hall performers before creating the Sax Rohmer persona and pursuing a career writing weird fiction. His first published work came in 1903, when the short story "The Mysterious Mummy" was sold to Pearson's Weekly. Rohmer's main literary influences seem to have been Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle and M. P. Shiel.
