Using the exact series solution for diffraction by a perfectly conducting wedge, numerical results are presented for the structure of the field in the apex region. This provides insight to the nature of electomagnetic fields near a surface discontinuity. Furthermore, the results provide some justification for the use of ap * proximate boundary conditions which have been used previously in studying radio propagation over terrain features.(Author).
