註釋
S2For most forest types we know very little about the forest floor and how well it stores water. This is true for the white pine type in the Northeast, so we undertook a study to gather information about the depth and weight of the forest floor as well as the content of organic matter in the floor under white pine (Pinus strobus, L.) stands. Other aims were to find out why the forest floor accumulates more in some areas than in others and how the water-storage capacity of the forest floor can influence floods.S3.
