註釋Materializing China is a series that examines social and economic developments as well as cultural and theoretical developments in contemporary China. Topics covered include manifestations, opportunities and contradictions of modernity; the strategies of China as it moves towards globalization; the efforts to create an internal as well as internationally acceptable infrastructure; and the cultural and social experiences of China and the Chinese, as well as the various efforts to represent these changes. The aim is to provide informed knowledge to the reader interested in developments in China. This volume deals with contemporary Chinese literature and literary culture, especially with regard to the impact of globalization. The analyses cover the innovative narrative structure of Chinese experimental writings from the mid-1980s to the 1990s, focusing on the relationship between fictional narrative form and contemporary Chinese posthistorical experiences prompted by political, sociocultu
