In this novel, the author tells his life story from childhood to retirement. The reader will follow his path from floating along in life with no obvious purpose until God interrupted. That interruption sent him into a new life-changing adventure and satisfying experience. The minister tells of his inadequacies, temptations, failures, help from prayers by patient church members, and rebukes from unkind Christians. In his later years, he realized God was beside him all along. Throughout his vicissitudes, he came to understand the Divine Potter was patiently and skillfully fashioning his life.

It is his hope that laity and clergy will gain insight, inspiration, avoid pit falls, and love spouses and family more. He is fully cognizant that other clergy have similar experiences.
