Total Refusal
註釋Art historian Dennis Reid has called Refu global 'the single most important social document in Quebec history and the most important aesthetic statement a Canadian has ever made'. This volume contains Paul Emile Borduas' famous lead manifesto, newly translated, along with other texts which made up the complete Total Refusal published in 1948 by a heterogeneous group of artists called the Automatists of Montreal. It is illustrated with photographs from the period and introduced with historical and biographical notes.
