Trial of Patrick J. Whelan for the Murder of the Hon. Thos. D'Arcy McGee : with a Photograph of the Accused
註釋First edition. Scarce. Whelan, an Irish immigrant, was charged with the assassination of McGee on the morning of April 7, 1868, found guilty, and publicly hanged in Ottawa on Feb. 11, 1869. Although the murder was generally believed to be part of a Fenian conspiracy, the crown never accused Whelan, and charges against other alleged members of the conspiracy were dismissed.
