註釋Charles Edwin Mason was born in 1910 at Dugger, Indiana, the son of Charles Mason (1873-1962) and Bessie Glenn Hammack Mason (1882-1953). He married Helen Dorthea Holmgren (b. 1913) in 1938 at Davenport, Iowa. They had four children, 1941-1951, born at Radalia, Manchester, and Oelwein, Iowa. He was a minister in the United Methodist Church and retired in 1975.
